Michael E. Remshard, PhD (He/Him)

(215) 219-8647

1212 Raintree Drive unit 149, Fort Collins, CO, USA

Hi there. My name is Dr. Mike Remshard. I have been a practicing psychologist for over 20 years and continue to love the work.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is not the only framework informing my practice, but it is one of the most influential — especially in my work with couples. I have completed advanced training in EFT with clinical supervision. When couples find themselves (feeling) disconnected, it’s important to have others supportive of them through the creative, productive, and at-times, challenging process of learning to love again. Moreover, integral to the therapeutic conversation, couples need to find a way to express not only their pain, but also their affection.

In my individual therapy practice, I have been influenced in clinical supervision by my mentors, Dr. Stephen Martin, Jungian Analyst, and Professors Emeritus, Temple University, Dr. Portia Hunt in multicultural clinical practice, and Dr. Jay Efran, constructivism in clinical practice.

The techniques I use integrate humanistic, interpersonal, depth, and rational-emotive frameworks. But a simpler way of understanding my approach is less of a "how" and more of a "why:" I am committed to helping people through the process of getting unstuck and becoming free.
