54-845-3676

Imrei Khayim St 50, Bnei Brak, Israel

Yaakov has training and certifications as a generalist in couples therapy, both as a therapist and supervisor, with an additional certification in sexual intimacy issues, psychotherapy and family therapy. Having lived in the U.S. through his high school years, he is fully bilingual and comfortable working with his clients in both English and Hebrew. He has a private clinic in Bnei Brak, Israel, which is convenient for Orthodox and Charedi Jewish couples living in Gush Dan and Modiā€™in Illit. He also accepts clients at The Family Institute in Har Nof, Jerusalem for a reduced price as part of his post-graduate training in Family Therapy and Psychotherapy.

Yaakov works afternoon and evening hours in order to coordinate his availability with the couples he serves and to best accommodate their very busy schedules.

In addition to using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with his couples, Yaakov has attended advanced workshops training him in EFT with families (EFFT Level 2) and with individuals (Individual EFT (Les Greenberg) Level 3, EFIT Level 2 and IFS Level 2). His advanced training in Conflict Mediation (Certified Teacher of Mediation) enables de-escalation early in the therapy process, facilitating the rapid creation of a calm and secure therapeutic setting.

Yaakov is strongly committed to Torah-learning and maintains fixed learning times in the prestigious Kollel Chazon-Ish in Bnei Brak. He is, therefore, culturally sensitive and well-equipped to deeply understand all the significant issues that arise in a Torah-observant family.
